T
he Eta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Nu is at the heart of Greek life
at Louisiana Tech. From our founding in 1961 to the present,
our proud history is marked by high academic achievement
and leadership within the university. With over 1,290 initiates, Eta Zeta
Chapter has influenced the lives of numerous men, cultivating last-
ing friendships in the process. Many of our best college memories are
traced back to our Sigma Nu experience, which served as the launch-
ing pad for all our future successes.
Our alumni go on to successful and distinguished careers in business,
engineering, technology, and countless other endeavors, and the com-
mon bond of our brotherhood remains with our shared principles and
values. Most of us can trace the roots of our success to one place: 809
West Mississippi.
rough Sigma Nu, we learned the importance of friendship, knowl-
edge, service, morality and excellence, and acquired valuable assets,
which include leadership skills, organizational skills, social skills,
teamwork, and character. Oen, these traits have been integral to our
personal success and helped make us the men we are today.
Our chapter house at 809 West Mississippi is the cornerstone of un-
dergraduate life for Sigma Nu. It has been a home away from home
for hundreds of young men and a classroom where our brothers have
learned to develop as ethical leaders inspired by the principles of love,
honor, and truth. However, if we wish for Sigma Nu to continue its
strong presence on the Louisiana Tech campus, we must ensure that we
are providing a safe, modern, and competitive facility. Now is the time
to secure our future.
