About the Chamber
e Camdenton region is nestled on the waters
of the Niangua and Little Niangua Arms of the
beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. Known as the "Hub
City," Camdenton's location makes it an ideal
"home base" with its small town atmosphere and
"big town" opportunities. Camdenton is a great
place to raise children, start a business, establish a
home and retire.
In 1827 early settlers came into Old Kinderhook
County and in 1841 changed the name to Camden
County. Camdenton is the county seat. It is all here
in the Camdenton Area.
e Camdenton area has a number of opportunities
and experiences for residents and visitors because
of its location, its population, and its investment
opportunities. From the unique appeal of the Lake
of the Ozarks region, through the distinct charm
of the Camdenton Square, to the natural beauty
of the landscape that pervades the fabric of the
community is enjoyed by residents and visitors,
alike. e Camdenton area boasts a variety of
outdoor activities including hiking at Ha Ha Tonka
State Park, golfing at one of the many area courses,
exploring Bridal Cave, and visiting the historic
Camden County museum to name a few.
At the heart of the local economy and the
backbone of the community are the collective
and collaborative efforts of the Camdenton Area
Chamber of Commerce.
e Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce
serves as a catalyst in its mission "to be the
motivating force in coordinating, leading, and
promoting business development, economic
diversity, and tourism, while enhancing the quality
of life and the natural resources of the area through
community involvement, recognition, and pride."
