Black, M.D. is a 1984 graduate of the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, Kan., with a subsequent residency at the University of Kansas. College, is conveniently situated near historic downtown Fayetteville and offers an array of activities to engage the senior citizens of the community. The 12 year-old center boasts a fitness center, dining hall and kitchen, exercise/yoga room, art/game room, library, outdoor patio seating area, and garden. There are plenty of activities to keep any visitor engaged and having fun. Meal on Wheels is a program the center offers that also promotes social interaction, primarily with those senior citizens who are homebound. "We are going to do a 'March for Meals' next month as a fundraiser for Fayetteville Meals on Wheels," stated Center Director Chase Gipson. The Fayetteville Senior Center provides 250 home delivered meals every day to those in need in the Fayetteville community. A $5 donation provides a warm meal for seniors and other community members in need. "This March for Meals will last the entire month of March," added Gipson. Donations can be mailed to or dropped off at the Fayetteville Senior Center at 945 S College, Fayetteville 72701.
