Others start grumbling and yearning for the return of summer the moment the temperature dips below 40 degrees. But when the chill in the air no longer rises above 35 degrees or so, one question is on everybody's mind — how much longer is this going to last? There are plenty of scientific ways to answer that question. But there is one time-honored tradition everyone in the United States loves to celebrate, and Chimney Rock will certainly be taking part in the affair on Feb. 2. Greta the groundhog will poke her head out of her den at Chimney Rock Park. Greta the groundhog will emerge from her den on Feb. 2 in Chimney Rock in an effort to see her shadow.
