Congratulations to RONALD HOUSE
Beginning Teacher of the Month for Cumberland County Schools
The Beginning Teacher of the Month for April is Ronald House, a fantastic autistic, elementary classroom be- ginning teacher. Any time spent in his classroom, shows that he holds high expectations for his students and helps them to meet those ex- pectations. His classes are a wonder to observe because he elicits such an unusually high level of focus and en- gagement from all of his students.

Mr. House runs a loving, structured classroom. It is obvious the students love and trust him by the affection they demonstrate toward him. He displays tremendous patience and love to his students, yet he never lowers his expectations.
Given the special nature of the students he teaches, Ronald has fi g- ured out how to teach to their strengths and interests, which makes for involved, receptive students. He is so proud of his students and what they’ve learned. In fact, whenever a visitor comes to the class, he and the students are eager to demonstrate what they’ve learned.
Ronald embraces cutting edge classroom technology and uses it con- stantly in his classroom. His students show a familiarity and naturalness in their usage of the Smartboard that shows it is a regular aspect of his instruction. He is considered the school’s technology “go-to” guy, ready to share any resources, websites, etc. that he fi nds with his colleagues.
Mr. House is a benefi t to the teaching profession and has earned special recognition as a begin- ning teacher.
