Each beautiful, each unexpected. These secret gardens and hidden jewels are lovely and right here, hiding in plain sight. But don’t go looking for similarities. These gardens have personality all their own – formal Charleston style, cottage impressions and Asian serenity.
Paul and Cathy Linskens have created an urban farm in the heart of the city. Tucked behind the Eutaw Shopping Center, the Linskens home could be one of those “before and after” examples. In fact, that’s how the couple first got the idea of transforming almost every bit of grass into garden. The front yard is Cathy’s domain, the back yard is all Paul. Both were featured on the recent Urban Farm Tour, sponsored by Sustainable Sandhills.
