November 7, 2012 LETTERS FROM PAGE 4 gentle people. Most folks don't wish to see their children deprived. If they haven't had Fairy Tales 101, they are deprived. Elmer London New RV Park Association "BABY STEPS – A New Beginning" On October 30, 2012, the RV Park Manager/Owner Association held its fi rst monthly meeting. Approximately 8% of the Quartzsite park owners/managers attended. Spe- cial thanks to Shawn Farish for the ac- ronym P.O.S.I.T.I.V.E. The meeting opened with introductions and the fol- lowing food for thought. "There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless dra- ma & the people who create it & sur- round yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. Af- ter all, life is too short to be anything but happy." The visiting speakers were Don & Barbara Humes from America's Mailbox (866) 747-3700 and David www.DesertMessenger.com Schenck from the Arizona Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (480) 502-1882. We shared ideas, plans and discussed ways for making Quartzsite season be- gin earlier and last longer; the devel- opment of an RV Park Volunteer ros- ter for Quartzsite activities and events and Emergency Plans for future power outages. The meeting adjourned with plans to meet 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Smoke Shop located near the entrance to Desert Gardens RV Park.
