November 7, 2012 Rainbow Acres Golf Scrambles to begin in November Rainbow Acres Golf This year's tournaments will be similar in format to last year's Tournaments will feature a 2-person scramble. Residents of Quartzsite are invited to be the guests of Rainbow Acres for these tournaments which prove to be lots of fun every year. The purpose is to have a good time, meet new and old friends and pos- sibly be a winner with your picture in the Desert Messenger. The tourna- ment entrance fee is $6 and we have a shotgun teeoff time of 9:00. There will be long drive competition and closest to the pin for men and women with each tournament. There are updated ladies' tees in place for this year. Mark your calendar now and join in the fun! The event was sponsored by Covenant Lutheran Church, Thrivant Lutheran Orga- nization, Isaiah 58 and the Quartzsite Food Bank. Several other church groups and organizations helped as well. The proceeds from this event benefi t the Quartzsite Food Bank and Isaiah 58. It was an evening of great food, gospel entertain- ment and free prize drawings.
