A new year — for many — means a world of new possibilities, accompanied with a renewed sense of hope that any goal, no matter how lofty, is achievable. From resolutions of eating better to becoming more organ- ized, the new year is a springboard to begin again and an inspiration to take extra steps to live the best life. We know the struggle of keeping resolutions, so in this edition of GO!, we have provided a piece which includes advice from professionals about how to stick to those resolu- tions you make. Also, who doesn't love a good New Year's celebration? Sitting at home and struggling to stay awake while watch- ing the party in New York on TV may be what you do every year, but it doesn't have to be that way. North Carolina is in no short supply of fun events that will ring in 2018 — from a cannon blast to dropping a giant, glowing pickle — you won't be disappointed. This issue also highlights an exhibit at the Discovery Place in Charlotte that takes visitors on an experience of invention by one of the most bril- liant minds in the world's history, Leonardo Da Vinci. We also wanted to take a look at beer in this issue, specifically Big Boss Brewing Co. in Raleigh and all that Goldsboro has to offer. In North Carolina, there is no shortage of craft beer deliciousness, and we hope you take the time to, not only enjoy those offerings, but also check out what is available right in your backyard. Have a great new year, and check out the February GO!, it will be an issue that will jazz you up. "Go!" editor
