SCHOOL: Bentonville West
THE SCOOP: Hargrove, a senior,
and Schneringer, a sophomore,
went 16-3 overall while winning the
doubles championship in Class 7A.
… Finished second in the 7A-West
for girls doubles. … Hargrove
plans to attend the University
of Arkansas while Schneringer
has two more years with the
Wolverines' tennis team.
DID YOU KNOW?: Hargrove is
a kickboxer and Schneringer is a
second-degree black belt.
COACHSPEAK: "The consistency
and aggressive play of Avery and
Sarah is unmatched," Bentonville
West coach Hunter Alexander said.
"But their success has really hinged
on trust: The trust they have in
each other as doubles partners, the
trust they have in our process at
West, and most importantly, they
trusted themselves to go out onto
the court and play true to who
