11 12.31.2017 SCHOOL: Pea Ridge CLASS: Senior HEIGHT: 6-0 WEIGHT: 180 POSITION: Running back THE SCOOP: Led the Blackhawks to a 4A-1 Conference co-champion- ship and the No. 1 seed in the play- offs, where Pea Ridge advanced to the state semifinals for the third straight season. … Winn rushed for 2,285 yards on 276 carries (8.3 yards per carry) and scored 32 rushing touchdowns for 12-2 team that lost to 4A state champion Arkadelphia. … Winn also caught 16 passes for 123 yards and had 2,537 all-purpose yards for the season. … Winn broke out of the gate in week one with 170 yards and 4 touch- downs against Hamburg in the Hooten's Kickoff Classic in Conway. … In back-to-back weeks, Winn ran over Lincoln for 270 yards on just 15 carries, including a 90-yard scoring run, and three TDs, then hammered Gravette for 313 yards on just 20 carries and 4 TDs the following week. … Shiloh Christian was the only team to hold the speedy (4.47 laser timed 40) Winn to under 100 yards in 14 games. … Dayton Winn, Drew's older brother, is also a former Offensive Player of the Year, the first brother tandem to share this award. Drew broke his sibling's school rushing record this season. DID YOU KNOW?: Winn broke his older brother Dayton's school rushing record this season, somth- ing the younger Winn had set as a goal coming into the season. He has received interest from a number of college programs and holds multiple offers. He recently visited Pittsburg State and plans to visit Arkansas Tech. He does not plan to sign until the February signing date. HE SAID IT: "This is a big honor because I know that there are a lot of other great athletes. This means a lot to me. "To break my brother's record was special. It makes me feel really good that I could beat his record. I didn't really have a number of yards I was shooting for, but I'm happy with the season.
