Rider friendly changes to the Camel Express By Janet Collier Town of Quartzsite The Camel Express Quartzsite's bus service opening to the entire community celebrated one year in August, at our Transit Advisory Committee meeting held October 19, 2017. Passengers had the op- portunity to provide input on the service and how we could make it more user friendly. The changes were made to better meet the needs of our ridership. Effective 12/1/17 The Schedule to Ehrenberg and Blythe is Monday's and Wednesday's, we start pick- ups at 10:15 leaving Quartzsite by 10:40, returning to Blythe for after- noon pick up at 2:20, returning to Quartzsite at 2:55 pm. The transfer location for Desert Roadrunner has moved to the cen- ter of Blythe on Hobsonway at Rite Aid. We will pick up at Albertsons and Smart and Final in the after- noon at 2:30. The Camel Express has all day Fri- day service available in Quartzsite. Changes to the Parker/Lake Havasu service will be effective 1/3/18 The Camel Express will provide split service to Parker and Lake Havasu City. The fi rst and third Tuesdays of each month will be des- ignated for Lake Havasu, the second and fourth Tuesdays will be desig- nated for Parker. You may travel to Parker on the Lake Havasu days but will have a waiting period while the bus is in Lake Havasu.
