In past articles we've talked about the power of sharing their success stories. In fact, sharing their stories of success is really sharing the history and story of your school in a meaningful way. ose stories offer inspiration and encouragement to both your students and your community. Facts can educate us, theories provide understanding, but a story … a story moves us. A story provides an emotional connection that generates movement. The value of an event We have also talked about the value of hosting alumni events. Even in our changing world and new challenges with millennials and social media, there is still value in face-to-face relationships. We know that maintaining contact with our graduates holds great value. Taking the time to plan and create opportunities and events for your graduates to come home and reconnect creates community. If these things are true . . . en we really believe bringing our alumni back for an event to reconnect has value. And, if we believe in the power of a success story to the extent that it generates movement, why not invite prospective students to an alumni event to hear those stories? Why not let them generate the movement of prospective students who may be considering entering a program and starting their career? Who can give a better voice to what is ahead, what to expect, and the true value our career college offers than someone who has done it and now has a successful career?
