Graphic Designers Entry-level education: Bachelor's degree Median pay (2016): $47,640 annually Job outlook, 2014-2024: Little or no change (1 percent projected growth) On-the-job training: None Working environment: "Graphic designers generally work in studios where they have access to draing tables, computers, and the soware necessary to create their designs. Although many graphic designers work independently, those who work for specialized graphic design firms oen work as part of a design team. Many graphic designers collaborate with colleagues or work with clients on projects." Multimedia Artists and Animators Entry-level education: Bachelor's degree Median pay (2016): $65,300 annually Job outlook, 2014-2024: Growing as fast as average (6 percent projected growth) On-the-job training: Moderate Working environment: In 2014, more than half of multimedia artists and animators were self-employed. e others primarily worked in motion picture and video industries or professional, scientific, or technical services. ough many worked in offices, some worked from home. Multimedia artists and animators generally work regular hours, but they may need to work nights and weekends when approaching a deadline.
