By LORI de ARAUJO Contributed report This year marks a very special decade for the family of "Child of the Promise." It has been nine years since it made its Goldsboro debut in 2008. "Child of the Promise" opens with the dramatic prophesies of Micah, Isaiah and Jeremiah. These Jewish prophets lived 700 years before Christ's birth, yet accurately foretold the lineage and birth- place of Jesus Christ. God's messenger Gabriel visits Zacharias and Mary as supernatural events unfold rapid-fire with a complexity too amazing to be orchestrated by any human. Like a powerful magnet, a mysterious aligning of the heavenly lights draws learned men from the east, traveling hundreds of miles to seek the birth of a king. Joseph is faced with the decision of his life when he must choose whether to believe his fianceé Mary's story. Inside the palace, King Herod plots to destroy any threat to his future rule.
