2 ---- Goldsboro News-Argus Thursday, November 23, 2017 By PHYLLIS MOORE The annual Embers Christ- mas concert is more than just an evening of good family enter- tainment — it also represents an effort to make the holidays better for children and families. Tickets are already on sale for this year's concert, which will be held Monday, Dec. 18, at the Paramount Theatre. Showtime is at 7 p.m. Price is $22 for adults, $11 for children 12 and younger. There is also a VIP option, with the first five rows of the auditorium designated for VIP seating for those purchasing the $40 tickets. "We have a meet and greet from 5:30 until 6:30 with very heavy hors d'oeuvres — a per- son that has a VIP tickets does not eat beforehand," said event coordinator Amy Records of the News-Argus, the event's spon- sor. "They also get a picture with the Embers and a signed poster." The Embers stay true to their beach music roots, but apply them to an all-Christmas show. "Most of it is tradi- tional, in beach music style, like the song, 'Shagging in a Winter Wonderland,'" Records said. "They have Santa come out." It's also an interactive show with the audience, which is com- prised of all ages and demo- graphics. "It's heartwarming to see. Last year we sold out," she said. 12728 (10-11) Kornegay Insurance This holiday season keep all your valuable possessions possessions protected with a Personal Articles Floater from Auto-Owners Insurance.
