Alumni Update Chapter Eternal Norman R. Homan '41 (Γ460) entered Chapter Eternal on July 10 at 96. During World War II, he served in the United States Navy as a lieuten- ant and married Adelaide S. "Sandy" Homan in April 1944. She preceded him in death in August 2006. After the war, he worked with Lake Central Airlines in Indianapolis, Ind., where Lake Central Airlines merged with Allegheny Airlines in 1968. The name was changed to U.S. Air in 1979 and Norman retired in 1984. Norman enjoyed going to the DuBois Area YMCA and fantasy base- ball, and he was a member of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Polka Club. Norman is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Krampe of Rockport, Tenn., two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Joseph G. Soper '52 (Γ647) entered Chapter Eternal on May 27 at 86 at the home of his son, Daniel. He married Jenny Falcone in July 1955, who preceded him in death in September 1997. Joe served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1953-55 during the Korean War. Joe and Jenny lived the better part of their lives in the Canisteo Valley, where he was a dairy farmer, and they raised their six children. He taught vocation- al agriculture at the Northern Area Joint Schools in Warren County, Pa., and also substituted in Canisteo Central and Arkport Central schools. Joe is survived by one daughter, five sons, six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Robert "Bob" Antram '53 (Γ668) entered Chapter Eternal on September 19 after a 10-year battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Roberta Antram; a son, Dave and wife, Jodell; two grandsons, Caleb and Josiah; a brother, Richard; and a niece, Beth. Bob grew up on an active poultry and sheep farm in Scenery Hill and served in the U.S. Army 53rd Signal Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas, before coming to Somerset County with Penn State Co- operative Extension Service. James "Jim" L. Zambo '61 (Γ814) entered Chapter Eternal on July 2 at the age of 75 in Indi- alantic, Fla. He earned his bachelor's degree and a master's degree in public administration from Penn State and dedicated 33 years of his life to military service, during which he proudly served as an officer in the Air Force from 1963-69 and in the 193rd Special Operations group of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard from 1969-96. Jim retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1996 and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Air National Guard Hall of Fame in 2011. He loved the Penn- sylvania outdoors and truly enjoyed being a park superintendent for the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks for 20 years. During his years there, he served as the president of the Pennsylvania State Park Society. Jim will be lovingly remem- bered by his wife, Phyllis Zambo, of 52 years, his children, his grandchildren, a brother, and sisters. Dominic "Dom" DiFilippo '63 (Γ851) of Palm Beach, Ill., entered Chapter Eternal on July 19 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Harriet, and their two children, seven grandchildren, and four siblings. Dom made his career in the electric utility industry, holding po- sitions of general manager, president, and chief operating officer before retiring in 2008. He sat on boards of directors for several companies and organizations, including Oak Park Country Club and Atlantis Golf Club. Dom was an avid golfer and had five holes-in-one to his credit, but his greatest success lies in the number of lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and drive to succeed. Alumni News Steven Visosky '92 (Γ1322) was promoted to senior water resource agent with the Idaho De- partment of Resources. He lives in Boise, Idaho. He continues to rep- resent forest land owners and is now able to help a wider array of the forestry industry with Good- win's expertise.
