After work- ing tirelessly, we received a number of awards from Phi Delta Theta GHQ and Butler Univer- sity, have increased our GPA over the last two semesters, raised thousands of dollars for the ALS Association of Indiana, welcomed over 30 new members into the Chapter, and have made a tremendous impact in our community. We have made significant progress in our development since the Chapter's refounding and look forward to a future filled with even more success and growth. As you can see below, Indiana Gamma is lead- ing the way in academics in comparison to the fraternity average and campus averages. • Phi Delta Theta, Indiana Gamma - 3.424 • Phi Delta Theta, National Average - 3.04 • Butler All-Fraternity Average - 3.374 • Butler All-Men's Average - 3.216 The Chapter has made significant strides in our efforts toward sound learning. By improving our GPA over the past two semesters, we exceed the Phi Delta Theta and Butler fraternity average GPAs, and are ranked 2/4 for Butler fraterni- ties. We missed the No. 1 ranking by half of a percentage point, and rank No. 1 out of four for new member GPA at 3.573. As a Chapter, our goal for the fall semester is a GPA of above a 3.5. Scholarship Chairman Emil Govani '19 had the following to say about the Chapter's scholar- ship efforts: "With college being a major finan- cial investment and Sound Learning being one of Phi Delta Theta's Cardinal Principles, every Brothers Jack Albritton '18 and Hunter Koch '18 were very excited to be out on the beautiful mall of Butler University during Phi Delta Theta's philanthropy event. Chapter raises Money to Battle als Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly referred to as ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease, af- fects nearly 20,000 people in the United States, with nearly 6,000 new diagnoses each year. This debilitating illness directly affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, which in turn affects muscles throughout the body. This progressive degeneration of motor neurons takes away the ability to walk, dress, swallow, speak, and even breathe. This paralysis greatly shortens the lifes- pan of those diagnosed. There is no cure for Lou Gehrig's disease. All-Star Weekend is a weeklong philanthropic event on Butler's campus that benefits the ALS Association. Phi Delta Theta has a long-standing relationship with the ALS Association in honor of late Phi Delta Theta member, Lou Gehrig,
