Its new location is on the north side of Main Street a couple of properties east of Kofa. He's in a tent and there is lots of easy free parking next to him. Kenny has even improved his business, too. I don't know if it bothered anyone else, but at his old location it always both- ered me that I had to paw through all sorts of items, just to fi nd what I was looking for. Now everything is clean and neat, easy to view, and easy to fi nd what you're looking for. And I don't know if you knew it, but Kenny is really a good guy who cares about Quartzsite and its residents. Like quite a number of other ven- dors in this town, Kenny supports various organizations. For years he has given items to both Isaiah's and the Food Bank. I'm not just talk- ing about a can here or there either. He's very generous when those or- ganizations need help. So, if you haven't met Kenny yet or haven't been by to see his deals, and he has lots of good prices, stop in and say hello. He deserves to be supported. Frank Oulman Quartzsite. As the days passed and we were in touch with them, we felt a tremendous need to join in the relief effort in some way. To just sit back and think that we could do nothing was not an option. We made plans then to leave Quartzsite and to let our friends, neighbors, and others in the com- munity know what we were plan- ning on doing. We received a list of items that were badly needed by a Texas Relief Network and so we be- gan to gather as much as we could to take with us. Quartzsite is an amazing com- munity, as many of you know, but for many of you Snowbirds just re- turning you need to know just how amazing these folks really are. On September, 25th we left Quartzsite fi lled with a pickup bed containing 15 huge commercial grade tubs full of requested relief supplies. We also fi lled the entire front of our travel trailer to the ceiling, with do- nations. To top it all off, so many folks donated money and we ar- rived in Katy, Texas on September 28th with $1,000.00 that was used to purchase $50.00 gift certifi cates at a local hardware store. The trip was a once in a lifetime experience for us. You think at our ages, 68 and 77 there is little you can do but until you have been a part of such a huge natural disaster and helped cry, pray, share and mostly care about a victim, who is a com- plete stranger, you have no idea how you will be forever changed. We volunteered and worked over 60+ hours at Trinity Apostolic Church and with Katy Christian Minis- tries. The most rewarding thing we have ever done. The faith and spirit of these folks is unstoppable and the love we shared and friends we made will forever be with us. There is much more to be done but these Texans are hard to beat down. Everyone that we touched shared with us to be sure and tell our com- munity and friends THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF THEIR HEARTS for everything that was donated and sent to help in some way. At a time when they were at their lowest you raised them up with your love, prayers and dona- tions. We personally cannot thank you enough for supporting us on our journey. Again, I say "We Are Forever Changed" and a big part of that goes to all of you. In gratitude Maggie & Gene Ross Quartzsite
