Thanks for patience at the register when the lines are long. We are doing our best with wrapping and bagging your found treasures. A reminder we accept cash and checks, but no credit cards. Again this year we will supplement the Thanksgiving Food Bank boxes and the Thanksgiving Dinner at Isa- iah 58. We can assist more commu- nity individual and families by co- ordinating with these local service agencies. There will be no individual gocery vouchers. Isaiah's Thanksgiv- ing meal will be served 2pm - 4pm on Thanksgiving Day. Our Red Kettle Campaign will be- gin Friday after Thanksgiving up until Christmas Eve. Come in and sign up if you would like to ring or even plan an instrument at a local business. You can pick your time and place. These collected funds are used locally in our community. This past summer we sent 12 children to Camp Ponderosa in Heber, Arizona for one week. This was the largest number of children from any Salvation Army unit in the state. The cost was over $3,000. Remember that adult and baby dia- pers are available at no charge. Fund- ing was provided from our Town's Community Outreach Grant. You can be serviced monthly for this as- sistance-only photo identifi cation is needed - just ask. We also have a well-stocked and or- ganized Medical Needs Room, thanks to volunteer Jackie. Ask for free loan of items that include walkers, wheel- chair, transport chair, toilet seat ris- ers, lots of various splints, crutches, oxygen tubing, etc. Please ask for assistance when you stop in and see us. One man's junk/treasures are great, but no gar- bage please. Our community has free transfer station north of town, just West of the Fire Station, open Sunday - Wednesday 7:30am -2:30pm. The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don't wait for good things to happen to you.
