ALPHA OMICRON CHAPTER OF ALPHA DELTA PI AT OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY FALL 2017 The Show Your Loyalty to Alpha Omicron Contractor Selected for Construction Alpha Omicron Sisters Share Why They Gave Back to Pride in Our Past, Building Our Legacy "Alpha Delta Pi has been a part of my life for over 50 years. The friends I made during my time in the house continue to feel very special to me. It is my hope that our Chapter will continue to provide a home away from home as young women pursue intellectual, spiritual and social growth. This Chapter means so much to me and it is time for the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi to have a new home!" – Jan Hall '66 "I was motivated by my desire to make our Chapter a competitive building on campus. With all the new facilities, I thought we needed to stay current. Our future at OSU is important and a new building will help with that. I enjoy reconnecting with sisters over our shared bond." – Rachel Benbrook '09 "My sister, Pam Miller Ardern '73, and I developed many lifelong friends while in the Chapter at OSU. Additionally, this was an opportunity to honor our sorority sister and friend, Glenna Gibson Ott '71, by naming a room in her memory. Hopefully, our support of Pride in Our Past, Building Our Legacy as well as the support of others will allow other young women the opportunity to experience the joy of lifelong sisterhood." – Retta Miller '72 "I was motivated to give due to our aging structure and the need to stay competitive as we continue to see the announcement and construction of (Continued on page 3) Donate Online at okstate.alphadeltapi.org/page/AOExpansion/DONATE A lpha Omicron has been a standard bearer for Alpha Delta Pi in the past, present, and with your help, can continue to be into the future. We continue to make significant strides toward the planning of our new Chapter house. We have chosen a general contractor—Genoa Construction Company, based out of Georgia. Genoa has built a reputable relationship with Alpha Delta Pi by completing other ADPi projects on time and under budget. Recent projects include: w Alpha Delta Pi at Ole Miss w Alpha Delta Pi at the University of South Carolina w Alpha Delta Pi National Headquarters and renovation to existing building w Alpha Omicron Pi at Florida State University w Kappa Kappa Gamma at Ole Miss (renovation) As 2017 winds down, we look forward to an exciting, yet busy 2018. In order for us to start construction on time, we must raise the final $170,805 before construction begins in 2019. Our budget has grown alongside our project, so meeting our $1 million goal (and beyond!) is of the utmost importance. We are very pleased and excited about our progress thus far, but we need your help. To date, 14% of Alpha Omicron alumnae and friends have participated in this campaign. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and most sincerest gratitude to our sisters, parents, and friends of Alpha Omicron that have already joined us in making a gift. We couldn't do this without each and every one of you. We want this to be a collaborative effort across all generations. This project benefits all of us, whether you are a member currently living in the Chapter house, or you resided there 50 years ago. To those who have not yet made a gift, we strongly encourage you to do so. This campaign is vital to our success and your help is needed now so that we may reach our goal as quickly as possible. The facts below might help in the thoughtful consideration of your own level of support. Pledges may be stretched over a five-year giving period, if desired. Many sisters have taken advantage of this opportunity to maximize their giving potential. All donors contributing a minimum of $2,500 to the campaign will be recognized on a plaque prominently displayed in the new Chapter house. The need is huge, and the time is now, so please don't wait. Use the enclosed form to make your pledge and contribution today. Don't forget—all donations are tax deductible! Thank you to the 241 alumnae and friends who have shown their loyalty and commitment to Alpha Omicron. We truly appreciate your generosity. If you have already donated, please reach out to a sister who does not appear on the contributors list on pages 2-3 and encourage her to do so. Just as the generosity of sisters who came before us enabled our memorable ADPi experience, we owe it to our future sisters to provide them the same opportunities we had. We are all a part of history in the making for our Alpha Omicron Chapter.
