From dancing at the home-opener game in the new stadium, to experiencing Kappa Karnival and welcoming home the newest pledge class, I have had the best experiences. Being a student athlete and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma is challenging, but so rewarding. This semester, the Golden Poms have been practicing consistently (three to four days a week) to make sure we're always ready for a wild crowd in the new stadium. Game days are exhausting but beyond fun—it always helps when my sisters cheer and wave to me from the stands! A special moment that stood out from Kappa this semester is seeing the alumnae at preference night. I couldn't help but get emotional hearing how Kappa has bettered them and encouraged them through so many difficult times. It helped me to remember whenever I'm stressed and managing my busy schedule, my sisters are always there to help me out! I can't wait to continue dancing for the Rams the rest of the season and to spend time at events with my Kappa sisters!"—Hannah Powers '15
