Alpha Gamma Rho-Delta Chapter
607 N. University St.
West Lafayette, IN 47906
Dear Brothers:
My congratulations to the Delta Chapter Corporation Board on its decision to renovate the AGR chapter house
on University Street. As the Interim Provost and former Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture at Purdue
University (and an honorary member of Delta Chapter), I am appreciative and proud of the leadership our AGR
undergraduates and alumni have provided the university for over 100 years. e Delta Chapter undergraduates
continue to be strong students and leaders across the campus and I have enjoyed getting to know many of them
and the many alumni who have gone on to key industry, political, and academic positions throughout the state
of Indiana and the nation. ank you for your commitment to Delta Chapter and Purdue.
e fraternity and sorority community is alive and well at Purdue. Many fraternities and sororities are planning
and carrying out renovations to improve the features of their Greek houses. Obviously, these projects can
only happen as a result of support from alumni. Your decision to provide an excellent social and professional
environment and first-rate study and living accommodations will enhance the overall university experience for
our undergraduates.
e Greek system has a proud tradition at Purdue and provides continued vitality to campus life as well as to the
lives of its members. I am encouraged that Alpha Gamma Rho is truly focused on continuing to nurture a strong
presence here at Purdue.
A strong university depends on strong undergraduates and supportive alumni. Alpha Gamma Rho, through its
Delta Chapter undergraduates and alumni, has contributed to Purdue's strength for over a century. Our current
support of the renovation project will help ensure that contribution continues!
Best regards,
Jay T. Akridge D1905
Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Diversity
