Building on Our Proud History A periodic pause to reflect on the past and envision the future is important for any organization. For the Delta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, a brief glance at our history gives us direction for the future. Since the founding of our chapter in 1911, over 100 years have passed and our chapter has remained strong at the heart of Greek life on campus at Purdue. More than anything, brotherhood is what sets Alpha Gamma Rho apart and what our alumni treasure the most. Without this special bond, our Delta Chapter would not have been successful in continuing AGR's long tradition of excellence. rough the years, the Alpha Gamma Rho experience has changed greatly. Today, more than ever, an organization like ours plays a significant role in the development of young men. All Alpha Gamma Rho alumni can be proud of the legacy we have helped create and the historical quality of our chapter that continues today. e alumni of Delta Chapter have the opportunity to ensure the Alpha Gamma Rho experience for future generations of men. e following pages detail the steps to complete a renovation of our chapter house at 607 University. is project will not only serve the immediate needs of our current undergraduates, but will ensure our house is in top condition for future AGRs. Our chapter's past is secure, our present is thriving, but our future depends on our vigilance in supporting Alpha Gamma Rho. As alumni, we have a duty to honor the past and build the future of our fraternity. "AGR means so much to me. roughout my career and personal life, friendships that have lasted are a result of this membership." – 1950s alumnus "It is important to take a step above other fraternities, if we can, right now." – 1950s alumnus "If we don't do what needs to be done now and invest in our building, what kind of message would we be sending to the students/university?" – 1970s alumnus "It was life changing. College is all about growing up and learning to work with people and that's what AGR taught me." – 1970s alumnus "Spaces are used differently now, obviously, and educational space will be a key component. We need to create a welcoming and inviting space for non-members—both those who we can recruit and those who come around regularly." – 1990s alumnus
