As we progress through the fall semester, we would like to thank our alumni for their continued efforts and support of our recruitment. With a busy semester and football season this fall, Gamma eta continues to strive toward acquiring the top men on campus. We welcome any recruitment recommendations from our alumni throughout the year. PHILANTHROPY We hosted three philanthropy events, two in the spring and one event in the fall. Two events were focused toward the Homeward Bound Project, an organization that rescues and takes in homeless animals throughout Mississippi. One of the events was a late-night BBQ at the fraternity house. We had a great attendance for this event. e other was an event where the local shelter brought a half dozen puppies for students and some of the local community to come visit and play with. We ended up sending a total of $2,500 to the Homeward Bound Project. Our other event in the fall was a baseball game we hosted against another fraternity. e brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha donated over $10,000 to the Taylor Trudeau Cycle for Life. MEMBERSHIP e new member committee from Gamma eta recently received new ideas and new resources to use from the University of Mississippi Pike chapter. is helped our new member process tremendously. e whole process was smoother and more efficient than years before. e men of Gamma eta are continuously fine-tuning the new member process each year to provide the best program for future members. CHAPTER ACTIVITIES roughout the spring semester the brothers helped the Tri Delta sorority with a couple of their philanthropy events. We helped with the preparation and the food. e women of Tri Delta were so impressed they are looking to join us for a joint philanthropy event this semester. INTRAMURALS e brothers won three championships over the past year: 3x3 basketball, 4x4 flag football, and the badminton championship. ALUMNI EVENTS e brothers hosted an alumni golf tournament at the Starkville golf course. is was a huge turnout for members to reunite with alumni. As always, we look forward to greeting our alumni every time you visit. Next time you travel to Starkville make sure to stop by the chapter house!
