Town to hold Rate Study meeting The Town of Quartzsite is inviting utility customers to a work session to reviewing the Analysis for Water and Wastewater Rates. The meeting will be held Nov. 2nd at 10am at the Community Center. This review is to address the many issues that you as a Utility Customer may have. You can fi nd the analysis on the Town of Quartzsite website at www.QuartzsiteAZ. org under the link 2017 Water/Wastewater Rate Analysis and Long-Term Financial Plan. This link is located on the home page of the website. "We hope to see you there. We are prepared to answer questions or fi nd the answers that you have about this study," Quartzsite Town Manager Jim Ferguson said. The Arizona SunRiders will begin the season on November 10 with their fi rst meeting at the QIA, beginning at 10AM. Any and all OHVers are welcome and encouraged to attend. There is go- ing to be a lot going on this season and if you are interested in being in- volved with the club, please join us. This season we will be doing mainte- nance on our assigned section of the Arizona Peace Trail, as well as other projects. Club rides will begin on Saturday, November 11, when we will ride to the Kofa. We will leave from behind the QIA at 9:30AM. To learn more about the projects and activities planned, be sure to join us the second Friday of each month at 10AM at the QIA. Keeping the club active in the community helps to ensure we keep our trails open. If you have questions or need additional information, call Bruce Fuller, 208-631-9531. Arizona Sun Riders new season Most of our volunteers are back, we are now open six days a week-9A.M. to 1 P.M. We have lots of items for sale. We have a really nice full size elec- tric stove. It looks like it is brand new. Nice to have cooler weather and to see the snow birds coming back. Even some Vendors opening up. Do not forget your donations - drop them off-shop for new things to replace your donation! Thanks to our customers and special thanks to our volunteers. We are getting new signs. Too many storms, they were getting pretty tat- tered. We are located behind Silly Al's. EMT training at AWC Arizona Western College (AWC) Public Safety Institute is seeking qualifi ed applicants for the EMT Academy applications are available at the Parker and Quartzsite Learning Centers We are accepting applications until December 7, 2017. Class starts on January 11, 2018. Class times: Tuesday and Thursday 6pm to 10pm and Saturday 8am to 5pm. The class is one semester, 12 credits. The Farmers Market will open this year on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 and be open every Tuesday through January and probably even through Feb. Hours are 9 am to 2 pm. The location for the this year's Farmer's Market will be the lot on the west side of the Yacht Club on Main St. The vendors who have said they will be here in Dec. will bring Produce; Kettle Corn; Pumpkin Breads and more; Organic Eggs; and Raw Honey.
