We will continue to send funds to Salvation Army headquarters for emergency disaster relief. Please designate Disaster Re- lief on your checks. A big thank you for the wonderful do- nations we have been receiving. Our community is so awesome. Large do- nations can be picked up with a phone call to us. A reminder that we do not take or sell mattresses, as we cannot guarantee sanitation. We also do not accept "Fat TV's" and older printers. Donations are most welcome during business hours or when our Donation Cart is out in front of the store. Re- membering that donations are, "What you would give to a friend". Garbage goes to the dump. Thanks! We will resume Winter Hours on Monday, November 6th---waiting for our snowbird cashiers to return. Our hours then will be Monday through Saturday, 9:00 to 1:00. We are always accepting volunteer applications. Stop in and ask. Remem- ber you can select your days and times to help. We have a marvelous group of very hardworking volunteers. We will participate again this year in the October 28th, Halloween Trick or Treating Event along the trail from Community Center to Town Hall. Look for our table with bugs, candy and pencil treat bags for the kiddos. Stop by along the Pumpkin Parkway and say, "Boo!". For adults, we will again this year, do a Halloween day, Tuesday, October 31st event. Come into the store wear- ing your costume and you will receive an entry ticket with a chance of win- ning a $5.00 in store credit voucher. Our volunteers may not be recognized on this fun day event.Come join in the fun with us. Again, this year we will supplement the Thanksgiving Food Bank boxes as well as the Thanksgiving Dinner at Isaiah 58. We can assist more in- dividuals and families by cooperat- ing with these local service agencies. There will be no grocery vouches to individuals. We are so blessed with wonderful volunteers and shoppers. I see the best in everyone, and they respond in kind.
