Gather a group of family or friends and make getting your tree an adventure this year! Head to the Eldorado National Forest area to purchase a low-cost Christmas tree per- mit at one of several forest offices, then start searching for your pine, fir or cedar holiday tree. Not only will you bring home a tree you found and cut your- self, but make lasting holiday memories too. You will also be doing your part to improve the health of the forest. Removing surplus smaller trees reduces dangerous fuel ladders, which results in a more robust forest for the future. Each person can purchase a permit for $10 per tree for up to four trees per permit. Only cash is accepted for this program.
