WELCOME to our annual Food and
Wine issue, full of treats for the eyes, ears
(yes!) and stomach.
We have food for thought, too.
It's a treat for me to be part of this. I'm
brand-new to CityView – hi! – but I've
lived in Fayetteville for 24 years and
spent 23 of those years writing for e
Fayetteville Observer. So I know a bit
about the city and guess what: I like it
here. ere are lots of great people, great
places and great things to do in and
around Fayetteville and I'm happy to be
part of a publication that's dedicated to
sharing and showcasing those stories.
I've met a lot of you over the years and I
look forward to meeting many more of
you going forward. Don't hesitate to drop
me a line at editor@cityviewnc.com if
you think there's something we should
know about. I can't promise we'll get
to everything but we'll definitely give it
thought.
Back to this issue: One of the pleasures
of being CityView's editor is getting
to go with ace photographer Matthew
Wonderly when he takes pictures that
accompany our stories. So I got to see
the cool art at Cape Fear Vineyard and
Winery in Elizabethtown, I got to hear the
talented Kia Walker play her blue violin
and also sing and I got to taste a bit of the
beautiful produce from Sandhills Farm to
Table's packing site in Whispering Pines.
I hope you'll enjoy reading these stories
and the others. Dig in!
