Delta Gamma page 3 TAU'S TRIFECTA Members Continue Philanthropic, Academic, and Leadership Success T he spring semester was full of activity and fun for Tau Chapter. We were busy with philanthropy events, scholastic achievement, and sending off of our graduating seniors. Academics Based on last semester's GPA, we bumped up one place on the Panhellenic Report. ΔΓ ranked higher than the university undergraduate average and all-first-year-female average. We are proud of these accomplishments and will strive to continue improving this semester. Philanthropy In April, Kathleen Meek '13 and Stina Lindholm '14 planned AnchorSplash. After a week of events we raised $2,000 to donate to the Delta Gamma Foundation and the Cedar Rapids chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa. Membership Over the summer, VP Member Education Chloe Moders '15 planned Tau's bid day! "I have loved getting to use my creative side when planning our new member program," she said. "I'm excited to play a part in making our new members' first experiences with ΔΓ great!" Chapter Activities In February, we sent five CMT members to DG Institute in Columbus, Ohio. We were all lucky to meet other sisters in similar positions. We gained great ideas from them and the group facilitators. Overall, we are grateful for the experience and have taken many of these ideas back to Tau Chapter. Member Activities We are so proud of senior Anna Long '14 for serving as Panhellenic Council president. We look forward to seeing all the good she does for our entire FSL community. Alumni/Parents Events In March, we held Mom's Weekend, which was planned by Caroline Carlson '15. We had so much fun celebrating our academic success at our spring scholarship brunch. We had several alumnae attend. We're appreciative of all the support we receive from our alumnae. Intramurals We participated in softball, flag football, and basketball intramurals. While there was often serious competition, the sisters made the most of the fun they had together! Spring semester was full of exciting experiences that I can't wait to continue and share with our newest sisters! Thank you to all the alumnae who have given us your unwavering support. I've had the great honor of meeting so many of you and hope to continue doing so!
