BQP THETA DELTA DRAGON Beta Theta Pi at The Ohio State University • Fall 2017 A RetuRn to PRinciPles: The Campaign for Theta Delta GeneRAtions of thetA DeltA BRotheRs GAtheR At DeDicAtion to ADmiRe comPleteD house • House Dedicated as Brennan Hall • More Than $3.4 Million Raised to Date • Additional Funds Needed to Retire Construction Debt C onstruction is complete, and the end result is absolutely spectacular. Theta Delta is the envy of campus, and we celebrated this feat August 26 as we dedicated our Chapter House. Seeing is believing, and those who attended the dedication ceremony were overwhelmed with pride. More of our loyal alumni made financial commitments on the spot, wanting very much to be a part of the success of this project. It has been a long time coming. We broke ground during the summer of 2016. Throughout the past year we've watched our home take shape. This project was truly a labor of love, with an emphasis on labor. Hiccups always seem to occur with any construction project, but we've overcome those and the result is a fantastic home to house generations of Beta men. Our contractors retained the look of our columns on the front of the house and the house has a familiar feel. Additionally, there are a lot of great Beta Theta Pi accents. The facility is quite grand, but it is also comfortable for the undergraduates. By the time of the dedication in August, the payoff was evident. The undergraduates were proud to move into their new house, and they have shown they want to do their best to take care of their home. During the dedication, we announced a very exciting new $1 million pledge we recently received. We said thank-you to our million dollar donor, David Brennan '53, by dedicating the house as Brennan Hall. Thank- you, David, for your very generous donation. Read more on page 4 about David's pledge. Of course, new construction like this doesn't happen without the time, effort, and financial resources of many. And on that note, work remains—we're done building, but not paying. We still need to raise $1.5 million to retire the construction debt, which is a huge necessity given the price competitiveness of alternative housing. Brothers, I have two challenges for you: visit the house to see the finished product for yourself, and fill out the enclosed pledge card to support the project financially. This construction project was absolutely the result of great teamwork—the fundraising needs to match that teamwork with everyone doing what they can to support Theta Delta. Yours in _kai_, Dominic Bagnoli '85 Campaign Chairman (330) 284-9008 dbagnoli@usacs.com See our list of donors on page 4. "I can never repay Beta for all that Beta has done for me. It gives me great pleasure to be able to make a gift to help build the new Theta Delta Chapter House." –David Brennan '53
