"We decided to keep a lot of numbers this year and it has really been benefi- cial," Thompson said. "When one group is gone you still have enough to practice. It makes for a lot of good competition. We do a lot of mixed practices with the varsity and junior varsity so they are constantly competing because this way we put some of our best girls head-to- head. They are only going to get better that way." Thompson said winning conference is at the top of the list of goals for the Lady Mustangs. "The girls would like to win confer- ence," Thompson said. "They have a lot of high expectations for themselves. We want to win some games that maybe we could have last year but didn't get the job done."
