Explore the new Arizona
Peace Trail, a loop system
of off-highway trails from
Yuma to Bullhead City.
The Arizona Peace Trail concept
was developed in 2014 to negoti-
ate the difficulties of establishing a
trail through the area. A non-Profit
corporation was formed and mem-
bers began working with agencies
to ensure the trail system is eco-
logically sound. Their mission is to
develop a loop trail system utilizing
existing trails and roads in Western
Arizona connecting Bullhead City to
Yuma and assist the land manag-
ers in maintaining the trail system.
Working with City, County, State and
Federal Agencies to keep the desert
roads and trails open for public use.
The 750 mile trail uses only existing
roads and trails.
Experience dramatic landscape
changes associated with elevations
from 170 ft.- 7070 ft. Travel through-
out the most beautiful rolling desert,
scattered with 1000's of tall Sagua-
ro cactus and red ock landscapes,
windy sand washes, narrow canyons
and mountain passes. The Arizona
Peace Trail is full of excitement with
fun terrain variations, picturesque
landscapes, historical sites/facts and
vast variety of plants and wildlife
throughout. The wildlife seen can be
incredible! A large buck with a full
rack, a variety of birds including a
large brown spotted hawk and wild
burros to name a few.
The Arizona Peace Trail system is
ideal for a day trip to explore a par-
ticular area ... or to plan an overnight
... or even a several day exploration!
Each leg gives a completely different
variety of eco-systems and an awe-
some array of terrain.
