Schedule your child's annual physical with Goldsboro Pediatrics today and we'll not only ensure a healthy school year, but also complete your child's sports physical during the visit. That means one more thing off your "to do" list. Before You Enroll Them in Kindergarten Be sure their immunizations are up to date! 29DCT0814D© break, teachers wouldn't have that time to reflect on the previ- ous year and recharge after putting forth so much energy and time. It's an awesome feeling to know we have summer to rejuvenate and not only prepare our class- rooms but our minds! So, as the hot summer days con- tinue to pass, I try to embrace the last few days of summer, finish the book I started, squeeze in those last-minute plans and enjoy the simple things because soon, the rush and excitement of anoth- er NEW school year will take over! So until the first teacher work- day, I'm just going to reapply my sunscreen, remind myself of the joys of summer and reflect on the rewards of teaching. Back to school also means a to- do list for parents! Getting your child in a routine, earlier bedtime, less screen time, and encouraging reading are a few good habits to practice these last few weeks of summer. All kids enjoy shopping for their back-to-school supplies and par- ents look forward to those weekly deals featured in Sunday's paper. It's not just teachers that like to stock up on supplies for the year! For parents, it is better to start preparing now to make the transi- tion in late August an easier one! Parents, checking the county website for updates is a great way to become involved for this school year, set goals and together, with your child's teacher; make it a successful year!
