According to a Tehama County Sheriff's Department press release, an investigation into a possible child molestation incident began around 9 p.m. and led to the arrest of 18-year-old Frankie Lee Cooley. Cooley was charged with four counts of sexual inter- course or sodomy with a child 10 years-old or younger. He was booked into Tehama County Jail on a $4,000,000 bond. By RICH GREENE DN Staff Writer The Tehama County Board of Supervisors, when it meets Tues- day morning, will begin the for- mal process of filling the vacant District 2 seat following the death of George Russell. The board is expected to authorize Chairman Bob Williams to send a letter to Gov. Jerry Brown's appointments sec- retary. Under California Code the governor appoints a replacement when a county supervisor posi- tion becomes vacant. Under the Tehama County Charter the appointed person must reside in District 2.
