HOUSER Frances M. Houser, 82, of Shelby passed away Wednesday June 21, 2017. A native of Rutherford county, she was the daugh- ter of the late George Fate and Susan Elaine Byers McMurray. She was a mem- ber of First Baptist Church of Shelby and a member of The Red Hats Society. She was very active and volunteered at Neal Senior Center, she loved animals and gardening. The family would like to give special thanks to the Neal Senior Center in Shelby for all the love and support that was given during the time she needed them most. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Houser; one broth- er, James Harold McMurray and one nephew, Ricky Cromer. She is survived by only one niece, Vicky Jones; five nephews, Larry McMurray, Joey Houser, Chris Houser, Terry Houser, II, and Jeff Houser; many great nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held in the chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside. Rev. Tony Tench. Interment held in the Cliffside Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside. DALE SCOTT FRANKLIN Dale Scott Franklin, age 58 of Forest City, passed away Saturday June 17, 2017. A lifelong resident of Forest City, Dale loved his family, his animals and vin- tage cars, especially his Corvette. His passion was also his life's work – Dale's Body and Frame. He is survived by one daughter Sydney Franklin, one son Daniel Franklin, mother, Betty West Franklin; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carl Bishop officiating. Concluding services were held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Croweʼs Mortuary is assisting the family. MARTHA JEAN LOVETT CLARK Martha Jean Lovett Clark, 63, passed away June 19, 2017. She was born to the late James R. Petty, Jr. & Martha Lovett McKinney on June 19, 1954 in Rutherford County. She is survived by her companion, Charles Toms of Rutherfordton; 1 son, Christopher Lee Clark of Forest City; 2 granddaugh- ters; 8 siblings, Jerry Lovett of Virginia, Jimmy Lovett of Forest City, Susan McKinney of Forest City, James McKinney of Forest City, Sandra McKinney of Spartanburg, SC, Valencia Lovett Williams of Spartanburg, SC, Stacy Lovett Vance of Virginia, Carolyn Lovett Williams of Greer, SC; a host of nieces, nephews & cousins. Martha devoted a huge portion of life caring for others. Before & during her battle with cancer she devoted most of her time caring for her mother. She will truly be missed & will remain in our hearts forever. A memorial service to honor the life of Martha was held at St. Paul AME Zion. Services are entrust- ed to Robert S. Morgan, Jr., Funeral Service Licensee, LLC of Fallston. ROY EDWARD WHITE, JR., Roy Edward White, Jr., 67 passed away May 30, 2017 at Hospice of Rutherford County surrounded by his loving fam- ily. Roy Jr. was born to the late Roy Edward White, Sr. & Marie Fincannon White on October 1, 1949 in Rutherford County. He is also predeceased by 1 sis- ter, Mary Lois Flynn. Roy Jr. leaves behind to cherish his memories to his 1 son, Ronnie White & wife, Katie White; 1 daughter, Rebecca White; 6 grandchildren, Leylie White, Austin White, Colby Smith, Jesse Mensch, Julia Garner & husband, Curt Garner, Britni Johnston & husband, Earl Johnston (El Dorado, Arkansas; 5 great-grandchil- dren, Klayton Garner, Coralai, Caxton & Evra Johnston & Kenzie Smith. He enjoyed hunt- ing, fishing, game chicken sportsman fighting but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Roy Jr. will be truly missed & loved. He was a wonderful son, father, brother & grandfather. Services are entrust- ed to Robert S. Morgan, Jr., Funeral Service Licensee, LLC of Fallston. VICKIE ANN HOLT Vickie Ann Holt, 63, passed away on June 15, 2017. She was born to the late Robert and Hazeline Stines Costner on July 15, 1953 in Gaston County. Vickie leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Carl Holt of the home; children, Connie Costner, Nicole & Allen Hanshaw, Robert & Ashley Holt, David Holt and Ashley Adams; sisters, Louis Costner, Marie & Todd Arnold and Barbara & Ben Roberts; nephews and niec- es, Lewis & Gina Costner, Dewey & Kimberly Costner, Hazel & Thomas Saint, Micheal & Patrick Barns, Charles & Lisa Russell, Christy & Mark Bates, Phillip & Chelsey Reep, Marcie Arnold and Bella Arnold; great-nephews and nieces, Cameron & Tiffany Costner, Taylor, Ryan, Brooke, Erika, Victoria, Stephanie, Logan, Austin, Kortney, Marissa, Eli, Taylor and Hunter; 12 nanny-children; 2 great nan- ny-children. As we celebrate the life of Vickie Holt, her memory is left up us to pass down to the next generation to come. We all have good memories of Vickie Costner Holt and it is our job to pass them on to the next generation. She loves each and every one of you and will be right by your side as she told me, "I can watch you better from heaven". Celebration of Life Services was held at Maranatha Baptist Church. Services are entrust- ed to Robert S. Morgan, Jr., Funeral Service Licensee, LLC of Fallston. NORMAN LUTHER SPIVEY Norman Luther Spivey age 67 of Mill Spring, passed away on June 22, 2017. Mr. Spivey was the son of Rosie Norris and the late Calvin Spivey. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Susan Darlene Spivey; daughters Dawn Milachouski, and Jessica Raines; three grandchil- dren; brothers Leon, Roger & Russell Spivey; sister Shirley Martin; a number of nieces & nephews. Norman was a veteran and served in the Marines. He was also a long time member of Covenant Ministries. Services will be held Sun. July 2, 2PM at Sunny View Club House-Cooper's Gap Rd., Mill Spring NC. Croweʼs Mortuary is assisting the family. RICHARD BANKS BRADSHER Richard Banks Bradsher age 83 of Spindale, passed away June 19, 2017. Richard was the son of the late Earl Banks Bradsher, & Kathleen Haswell Bradsher, & the husband of the late Alma Lee Dickey Bradsher. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Dee Hyder & husband Hugh of Waleska, GA; Cami Eanes & hus- band Gary of Salem, VA; & Julia Bradsher of Palakta, FL; 6 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Services were held at Father's Vineyard with the Rev. Terry Howell officiating. Interment will be private at Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Boston, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made at Father's Vineyard, 724 Oakland Rd, Spindale, NC 28160. Croweʼs Mortuary is assisting the family. CHARLES WILLIAM HAMMILL Charles William Hammill, 82, of Rutherfordton, passed away June 22, 2017. A native of Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles & Helen Torpy Hammill. He was a US Army vet- eran & a retired electrical wireman. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Margie John Hammill of the home; daughter Susan Jacobs & husband Jeffrey of Chicago, IL; 2 grand- sons; stepsons David John & Brian John; & cousin Annette Stover. SANDRA MARIE DAYBERRY MARTINEZ Sandra Marie Dayberry Martinez, age 42, of Forest City, passed away June 21, 2017. Born April 1, 1975 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to Pansy Branch who resides in Forest City & the late David Hudson. She was a homemaker and a member of Adaville Baptist Church. Sandra's life's enjoyments includ- ed drawing, traveling & social networking. She was also an animal lover. Sandra loved her family dearly. In addition to her father, she was preced- ed in death by a sister, Tina Marie Martinez & her aunt, Janice Ives. Besides her mother, those left to cherish her memory include 3 daugh- ters, Dulce Martinez, Jharleen Martinez & Litzy Martinez all of Forest City; 1 son, Gerardo Martinez & fiancé, Jessica Goode of Rutherfordton; the father of her children, Jose Martinez of Forest City; 1 brother, Brandon Branch & sister, Ashley Elliott & husband, Travis all of Forest City. She is also survived by 4 special cousins, Teresa Lovelace, Karol Atkins, Crystal Goode & Lee Goode. The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Cobb & Rev. John Godfrey officiating. Interment followed in the Adaville Baptist Church Cemetery. Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements. We've Moved Our Walk-in Clinic! Rutherford Regional Health System has relocated its walk-in services clinic from Walmart in Forest City to Forest City Family Care at 212 Allendale Drive in Forest City. Walk-in hours: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Scope of services will remain unchanged for walk-in patients.
