At the end of the fall semester, we had the privilege of initiating 15 new mem- bers. e Chapter also improved our GPA by a 10th of a point and extended our social reach. Our Chapter GPA is 3.15, which places us 23rd of 32 reporting fraternities. at is a 0.14 point increase from spring 2016. Last fall, we also had the fortune of initiating three new members who are attending UW on the Chancellor's Scholar- ship. Academic Chairman Darin Carrig '19 has worked tirelessly to improve our academic stand- ing. He created house accounts for useful study websites, as well as mandatory tutor hours for any active member who received a GPA lower than 2.5 last fall. Unfortunately, the university has barred us from holding an organized philanthropy. In place of that, we have put extra emphasis on the service branch of our Chapter. Last fall, instead of a phil- anthropic event we held a Chapter-wide service event, where we partnered with the UW Lake- shore Nature Preserve to clean up the path and give back to the local community. at was in addition to the compulsory four service hours each member does every semester. Additionally, we were paired with Delta Chi and Delta Delta Delta for Humorology this year, helping to raise over $100,000 for the Rainbow Project, which provides adult and child counseling services. Last fall, we initiated 15 new members into our brotherhood, and this spring we have a class of 11 new members. Our new member education program has shied its direction to focus par- ticularly on the Chapter's local history, as well as values that the Men of 200 emphasize. "We have had the fortune of initiating 23 new members in the last calendar year who possess and have been taught the pillars of excellence that our Chapter has had at its core for over 90 years," said New Member Educator Matt Watters '18. is spring, we hosted several events for our alumni and parents. On April 8, we had the an- nual 18-bar bar crawl, Plasters. In addition, we hosted a Mother's Weekend on April 22, where we had a reception and Sunday brunch planned for our moms. is spring, the Men of 200 had intramural teams in basketball, soball, and dodgeball. is semester, we started our own internal fitness competition that 24 of our Brothers have elected to join to help improve their fitness. I would like to take this opportunity to personal- ly thank the alumni for your support. In conclu- sion, the Men of 200 have grown exponentially and improved both GPA and University involve- ment. is spring, we focused on buying a new house pool table, further improving our GPA, and becoming more involved with the Alumni Association. On behalf of all the members of the Men of 200, I would like to thank the entire Alumni Association, as well as Russ Lein '81, for your continued support and blessing. ank you for believing in the strength of our Frater- nity when nobody else did.
