The Future Is Bright for Omicron Chapter
Alumni Support Needed for Continued Success
W
e have much to be proud of with today's
Omicron Chapter. Our newest slate of
officers is sharp and has balanced leaders who
are doing an excellent job of managing the
chapter from finances to risk management and
campus leadership to recruitment. After fall
recruitment brought in 54 new members, the
chapter stands with more than 145 brothers in
membership.
In February, the chapter's executive council
traveled to Dallas, Texas, for the Kappa Alpha
Order Province Council. Omicron Chapter
received the Project Outreach Award, the
Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award,
and plenty of new ideas to improve the chapter.
The Omicron alumni and undergraduate
leadership are developing a solid plan to address
the long-term viability of the Kappa Alpha
Order experience on the University of Texas
campus. With careful study, assessment, and
planning, the Housing Corporation Board of
Directors and Alumni Advisors are working on
a tactical approach for our future.
It is imperative that we stay committed to our
values if the chapter is to continue attracting top
men and providing the leadership opportunities
and fellowship that are the hallmarks of Kappa
Alpha Order. Staying connected and staying
involved with the chapter is necessary for future
growth.
Thank you to the alumni closely involved
with the chapter for your willingness to offer
mentoring and coaching to the undergraduates.
If you are interested in volunteering your time to
the chapter, please let us know. We will find a
role for you to fill. We hope as your travels bring
you to Austin you'll go by 2515 Leon Street and
say hello. By doing so, we know you'll agree
that as Omicron alumni, we have much to be
proud of.
