He began his logistics and analytics career at Sigma Q Corporation as the Central American and Caribbean Data Interface Analytics Director. He then joined the United States Army before retiring in 2014. Already possessing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland University College, a Business Intelligence Master of Science degree from Full Sail University, Al is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or commonly known as MIT. Al serves as the Chief Financial and Operating Offi cer at the Walker Florez Consulting Group with his partner Channing Walker. Walker Florez's mission, vision and strategy puts a focus on working with their clients together "As One," regardless of the industries, functionality areas, and borderless business types, in order to deliver an excellent data-driven solution. Their goal is to maximize business performance and provide strategic solutions for a successful business strategy so that clients operate in the most effi cient manner possible. Their clientele base includes Federal and State governments, city municipalities, private sector businesses as well as non-profi t organizations. As President of Latinos United for Progress (LUFP), Al is devoted to promoting the advancement and development of the Latino Community in North Carolina. Their mission is to champion all citizens of our diverse community, in order to ensure fair and equitable treatment, to address inequalities, to foster inclusions, and to promote unity. Al's most recent awards are the Fayetteville Young Professional of the Year award, the Fayetteville Observer's 40 under 40, and the Presidential National Engaged Leader Award presented by the National Society of Leadership and Success. He is also the Treasurer at Southern CC, Inc., board member of Armed Forces YMCA, and as an Ambassador for the Greater Fayetteville Chamber.
