They continue to excel in academics and professional development—and are setting great examples not only for their PSU peers, but also for our ΑΓΡ chapters nationwide. I received nothing but positive feedback and great praise following a visit from our ΑΓΡ regional vice president in March. The brothers stay involved with their community and university through philanthropy and community service projects, great involvement with THON, continued support for the College of Agricultural Sciences annual career fair, and civic engagement with their local government—just to name a few endeavors to my knowledge. I continue to be extremely proud of the undergraduate chapter, and I hope that all of our alumni share in their passion to be productive members of society and exemplar fraternity men. NAVIGATING UNIVERSITY RESTRICTIONS I believe many of the new restrictions will have a long-term positive impact on Gamma Chapter and the rest of Greek life at Penn State. The potential changes to recruitment, however, are much more questionable. We do not agree with the idea of limiting a student's ability to seek membership into our fraternity until they reach a certain semester standing—we desire to open our doors to all undergraduate students at Penn State, and we believe it is our fundamental right to do so. We are participating in discussions at all levels, as well as advocacy efforts with our peers in the community. As I said, nothing is set in stone at this time, so we continue to defend our rights and seek proper action from the university that will meet everybody's goal of providing a safe and appropriate environment for our members. ALUMNI SUPPORT VITAL TO GAMMA CHAPTER SUCCESS As an alumnus, you may be wondering what you can do to help your fraternity. Simply put, we need your involvement and continued support of our brothers. Visit the chapter house whenever possible, lend your assistance and encouragement to our collegiate brothers, and give back to the fraternity you hold so dear. And remember to always advocate for your brothers. Don't shy away from conversations about the state of Greek life, but instead continue to lead by example and show your peers the excellence of character that is developed in our hallowed halls. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to any of our alumni or undergraduate leadership, and we hope to see you at a brotherhood event in the near future! Fraternally, Corey Simmons '04 (Γ1504) Gamma Alumni Association President (814) 777-3786 corey.simmons@me.com Undergraduate brothers outside of the chapter house.
