A s spring starts to bring the sunshine, growth, and the beautifulness of life, it is also starting to inch closer to the end of the school year. Over the last few summers, the House Corporation Board (HCB) has worked to improve the Phi Chapter house through a long list of renovations. This summer brings the last of the major renovations that need to be completed. There will always be minor improvements that will need to be addressed, but the major projects will be completed this summer. The plan for this summer is to first address the north wall of our chapter house. Over the years, there has been normal wear and tear that we have temporarily fixed, but the time has come to permanently fix this issue. In addition to the north wall, which is a structural renovation and not a grand aesthetic improvement, we also plan to renovate the chapter room, laundry/craft room, and make updates to the décor and painting in main- floor areas. Our goal is to complete the majority of these projects so both collegians and alumnae can enjoy the completed Phi Chapter house. As president of the HCB, both I and the rest of the board are extremely appreciative for all of the donations of time and money given to help improve the Phi Chapter house. The changes that have and will be made have been wanted and needed for many years, and wouldn't have been possible without both the collegiate and alumnae donations. It is our hope that many of the collegians and alumnae will be able to enjoy these changes over the coming years. If you have not donated, it is never too late. If funds are tight and donating money is not an option, but you would like to donate your time, our HCB is always looking for new members. It does not make a difference if you recently graduated or, like me, you graduated a few decades ago; we would love to have new members to bring a fresh perspective to our board.
