LEADERSHIP
Nationally, Beta-Chi continues to rank among the top chapters in
the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Last summer at the 2016 Leadership
Conference, Beta-Chi received the prestigious Founders' Circle award.
This marks the first time in our history that we have received this award.
The Founder's Circle award is the top award given out by the National
Fraternity and solidifies Beta-Chi's place as one of the top Kappa Sigma
chapters in the world. Beta-Chi continues to grow the leaders on the
Missouri S&T campus. Of the 105 Brothers in the Chapter, more than
20% hold positions on the executive boards of campus organizations.
SERVICE
On March 3, we hosted our annual fish fry, our largest philanthropic
event of the year, in conjunction with the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Nearly
$2,000 was raised for Kappa Sigma's national charity, the Military
Heroes Campaign, which aids thousands of military veterans and their
families throughout the U.S.
I am extremely pleased with the direction this Chapter continues to
travel. Year after year, we continue to foster an environment of diligence
and brotherhood.
