Epsilon Beta Chapter 2 turned out to be a great place to start up a small business." Twenty years later and Jennifer is still pushing her limitations. In her spare time, she loves to try new things. Jennifer enjoys Crossfit, has been a jazz singer for several years, she speaks Italian and French, and plans to learn piano this summer. In order to accomplish something, whether it is a task, career, or hobby, she says all you have to do is go for it. "Be fearless and persistent. There are many obstacles out there that will make you feel like giving up or trying something else over the years. Just keep moving forward." E-mail: jpade@fluxconsulting.com Jennifer Pade '83 (Continued from page 1) M olly Ross '73 had known where she wanted to be from day one at Colorado State University. Kappa ran in her family and she was more than eager to continue the family tradition. Molly says she and her sisters shared meals and stories around the dining room table, spent time together after dinner in the TV room, hosted special events and meetings in the formal living room, and stayed up all night during recruitment and initiation. From bouncing off bunk beds to epic water balloon battles with the men of ATW, the women of KKG rarely had a dull moment. "Lots of laughs, funny memories, and great friendships were made in the Kappa house," Molly says. While Molly has many fond memories at Epsilon Beta, the most rewarding thing about being a Kappa was the friendships that were cultivated. "For most of us, it was our first time to be truly away from home, and therefore Kappa became our second family," she says. Aside from all the fun and games, college can be challenging, especially when you're away from home. "You grow and change so much when you enter college, and it was great to be able to share those experiences with other young women," she says. Molly understands the importance of keeping in touch with her sisters. "I think maintaining touch with the chapter provides a link for us to share the history of our Kappa chapter," she says. Outside of reunions, she makes sure to stay connected with her sisters in other ways. "I have kept in touch with many of my Kappa sisters since college, largely through annual Christmas cards, but also through other organizations or just running into them at various events." Molly continues to stay busy with a number of organizations. She is president of the Swift Wings Foundation, executive producer of the documentary film Arise, board member of Idanha Films, vice chairman of Rachel's Network, and board member of Earth Day Network. She is also running her grandfather's two companies, Deltex Royalty Company Inc., and LMA Royalties, LTD. In her experience, she says, "Don't be afraid to follow your passion. It is quite possibly what you were meant to do." Molly resides in Castle Rock, Colo., with her two dogs. I have been the president of three clubs, a resident assistant, a teaching assistant, and an ambassador for the College of Liberal Arts, all while being a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. This year I have been fortunate enough to be planning a national conference that will be hosted at CSU and will bring together 15 schools across the country to discuss the gender gap in economics undergraduate programs. In addition to this, I am leading a new initiative in the College of Liberal Arts that works to give students a louder voice. This has included focus groups, town halls, and other outreach efforts. I think the most rewarding part of balancing Kappa and all of my involvement on campus is the time management skills it teaches me. In addition to that, the balance has allowed me to gain a large network of friends, mentors, and support. The more I am involved in, the more I feel I am getting out of my collegiate experience." –Lauren Boume '15 "In addition to my involvement with Kappa, I'm also a part of Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance, serve as the morale chair for CSU Miracle, and work as an involvement advisor for the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement. I chose to participate in all of these activities because I want to maximize my experience here at CSU and being involved in several organizations allows me to expand my knowledge and make a greater impact in the Fort Collins community. Balancing all of my commitments can be tricky at times, but I try to split my time up equally between all of the clubs that I'm involved with and dedicate myself to each one as much as possible. My favorite part of being involved with several organizations on campus is the people that I meet. They inspire me to keep learning and growing as an individual and support me in reaching my goals." – Carlee Craddock '15 CHAPtER FASt FACtS • At least 43% of members are involved in another organization other than Kappa Kappa Gamma on campus • Twelve members are in the Order of Omega (the honor society for the top 3% of Greek life) • More than 10 organizations have a Kappa holding a leadership position • Six members are on CSU's Golden Pom team; four are members of the cheerleading team • One member received the Georgia Kovacic undergraduate scholarship from the Fort Collins Panhellenic Alumnae Association • Chapter President of the Year won by Megan Agras '13 • Excellence in Risk Management and Harm Reduction Award won from the CSU Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life
