Other sororities and fraternities have all already completed or have planned impressive renovations to their chapter houses. The Beta Chi House Corporation has already made small improvements on our own house and we are taking steps to ensure Kappa remains competitive with other UK sororities. Thankful for loyal kappa SiSTerS At our Alumnae Tea and Corporate Meeting on April 22, Carla Terwilleger ̓98 held an art sale where alumnae could purchase her Twiggy Originals. The house corporation continues to be amazed at all the women we call sisters at UK. From our youngest member to our alumnae across the decades, KKΓ women aspire to be. Hopefully, our efforts will remind you that we are all Kappas for life, not just during our college years. We encourage you to contact us if you would like to become more involved in the future success of the Beta Chi! y ou'll be happy to know that Beta Chi still ranks as one of UK's top sororities. With nearly 300 collegiate members, Kappa continues to attract some of the best and brightest women UK has to offer. The chapter is strong in academics, philanthropy, and leadership—evidence of the well-rounded members the chapter recruits each year. BeTa Chi houSe CorporaTion planS for GrowinG DemanD of Greek life Last fall, Beta Chi initiated 90 new members. With such large pledge classes each year, the house corporation has had to diligently maintain our facility, as well as contend with today's students' high expectations of collegiate housing. They want amenities such as high- speed internet, a meeting place large enough to facilitate all members, and up-to-date bathrooms. You may have heard that there is a "building GeT involveD ToDay! We encourage all members of our sisterhood to get involved with Kappa. There are many opportunities to volunteer with the chapter and its members, and we welcome you to become a part of it. We invite you to consider joining a local alumnae group, or if you're already in the Lexington area, to visit the chapter and see how you can be involved. It's an exciting time to be a member of Beta Chi! We hope Beta Chi has maintained a special place in your heart since your undergraduate days, and that this newsletter reconnects you with the chapter we all love.
