UNDERGRADUATES DEDICATED TO IMPROVEMENT, ACHIEVE RESULTS A s president of Texas Alpha, I am incredibly proud of the constant improvements that our chapter continues to achieve. With the opening of the new property at 2501 Nueces, we have ensured a transition where we are able to excel on campus and in the community. Thanks to an initiative that last semester's officers put into place, our G.P.A. has jumped from a 3.1 to a 3.31 in just one semester. This puts Texas Alpha's G.P.A. in the top quartile of the 29 IFC organizations on campus and well above the all-undergraduate male G.P.A. of 3.21. So far this spring, Texas Alpha has completed more than 500 community service hours. The majority of the hours were dedicated to the Boys & Girls Club of Austin, where we have organized several field days over the course of the semester. Spring rush has been the most successful that any undergraduate brother has seen up to this point. Currently, we have 17 new members, which is the second-highest spring class on campus. Texas Alpha prides itself in involvement with other organizations on campus. Recently, Brandon Minang '15 was selected to join Silver Spurs. The support that we have received from alumni and parents this semester has been overwhelming. We are so grateful to be able to learn and grow from your experiences. This would not be possible without your contributions. With so many great changes occurring within our chapter, it is really inspiring to see the brotherhood grow together during this exciting time. We would like to again thank everyone who helped us come this far, especially our new executive director, Matt Kifle; our chapter advisors, Brent Monteleone '84, Bryan Meucke '75, Neil Bowie '83 and Jason Martin '01; as well as Scott Noble '81.
