3 Alpha Tau Omega BUILDING A COMMUNITY Delta Kappa Looks to Continue Success A fter a very successful year, the Delta Kappa Chapter looks to continue our efforts in bettering the Norman and OU communities while staying true to our founding values and ideals. This past semester, we saw an increase in our chapter GPA, placing us fifth out of the 17 IFC fraternities on campus. Delta Kappa has always held grades as one of our main priorities, and will continue in our efforts to improve our academic achievement. $16,000 Raised In the fall, we held our inaugural Gatorfest philanthropy benefitting Norman's community after-school programs (CASP). It was a tremendous success, and we hope this will become an annual tradition for Delta Kappa and a mainstay of the OU Greek community. As a chapter, we completed over 5,000 hours of community service this last semester and donated over $16,000 to our local charities in our community! Strong Campus Leadership Campus involvement has always been an integral part of our chapter, and I am proud to report on the multiple events on campus that ATWs are a part of. Our former chapter president, Cameron Burleson '14, was recently elected Student Government Association (SGA) vice president, while Alex VanNoord '13 was elected as the Interfraternity Council (IFC) president! ATWs hold numerous chairmen and vice chairmen positions on campus, and our involvement can be found in events such as SGA Congress, College Bowl, Sooner Scandals, University Sing, The Big Event, Soonerthon, and many more! Full Spring Semester This semester, we are excited to be competing in Sooner Scandals with the women of Alpha Phi, and are paired with the women of Kappa Alpha Theta for this year's University Sing. After placing first in last year's University Sing, we hope to continue our success! Continuing our philanthropic efforts this semester, we are very excited for our upcoming annual 5K marathon, Run ATW, this April, also benefitting CASP. We hope for high participation this year, and to exceed our donation total from this previous year. This year, we hope to continue to grow and build on our past successes. We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from alumni, for without them, our successes wouldn't be possible. The chapter house is always open for alumni to stop by to see our chapter facilities and meet some active members!
