SEPTEMBER 10 Historic Downtown Military Tour Learn all about our area's illustrious military history. Begin at the Fayette- ville Area Transportation and Local History Museum at 9 a.m. The Tour will include guided tours of the War of 1812 and Civil War exhibits at the museum, as well as a rare opportu- nity to tour the Fayetteville Light Infantry (FILI) Museum and Armory, Liberty Point, the FILI Parade Grounds, Cross Creek Cem- etery and the N.C. Veterans Park. SEPTEMBER 15 7th Annual Ribbon Walk & Ride for Cancer Cape Fear Valley Health Founda- tion's Friends of the Cancer Center will host the 7th Annual Ribbon Walk & Ride for Cancer. This year's event will feature a new walk route along Linear Trail. Since 2006, this event has raised more than $150,000 to benefit cancer patients in our area.
