Affordable convenience UMO is as affordable as it is convenient, recently earning the top spot in the Southeast colleges division of Washington Monthly magazine's "Best Bang for the Buck" list. UMO President Dr. Philip P. Kerstetter said, "For a long time the University of Mount Olive was one of the best kept secrets in the United States. We are delighted to be recognized in Washington Monthly's ranking as the number one "Best Bang for the Buck" list. This national recognition solidifies that we are delivering an exceptional education at an exceptional value. Others can now see that we are a true gem and are dedicated to providing our students with a world-class education at a very affordable price. The secret is out!" Study, serve, play In its traditional program, the University of Mount Olive offers over 40 different majors including agriculture, business, science, math, criminal justice, English, psychology, education, the arts, and religion. The University of Mount Olive is also widely known for its commitment to community service, engaging students in the kind of service that builds citizenship. "The University of Mount Olive embraces and supports acts of service as tangible expressions of our Mission, Vision and Values statements," said president Kerstetter "To us, service is a lasting engagement with a place, a people, a culture." www.umo.edu 2017 Windows of Wayne.indd 29 12/13/16 7:32 PM
