Landscape architect Brett McPherson, owner of The Land Collaborative in Novato, finds that for homes on hillsides, views are usually a priority. When deciding where to locate a pool, he takes the big picture, as well as engineering, into consideration and so a pool might have an infinity edge to catch the reflection of the surrounding landscaping.
