The Town of Quartzsite Council
approved $600 for two promotional
videos during the January 10th
council meeting. Russ Varisco, of
QuartzsiteTV.com, and RVerTV is
producing the videos. Varisco has
been busy filming events around
Quartzsite this season. In just a
short time, QuartzsiteTV's YouTube
channel has over 700 subscrib-
ers with thousands of views. His
Facebook page has over 1,200
Likes. Varisco has been building an
archive of footage since the fall and
expects the videos to be finished in
the next couple of weeks.

The best turnout in years for the Quartzsite
Quilt Show held Feb. 3 & 4, 2017 at the
Senior Center.
The 6th annual Desert Flyers Fly In was at
Quartzsite Town Park RC Airstrip held Friday,
10, 2017. Folks lined the street enjoying the
show from their vehicles, too. An estimated
crowd of over 500 attended the anticipated
show.
The Quartzsite Gold Show gave away the
Tesoro Metal Detectors and lots of gold
nuggets, silver rounds and other prizes
at the QIA Feb. 10-12. There were lots of
prizes, speakers, demonstrations including
the Sierra Blaster blowing up a boulder and
Sunday the 4-H Duck Races Fundraiser.
